Axial expansion joints have typically an unrestrained construction and are primarily designed to take up longitudinal pipe expansions, normally caused by temperature fluctuations.  Having unrestrained design the axial expansion joints require fixed points and guides to make up for the reactive forces and spring rates, as these loads are further released on the pipe system. Axial expansion joints can absorb quite large movements at a relatively compact build-in length and offer a simple and cost efficient solution in terms of the compensation of movements.

Properties
The high pressure pump connectors ensure the maximum reduction of vibration and noise reduction via the flexible bellow and the rubber elements at the tie rods.
 
High pressure pump connectors can handle high temperatures. The built-in length is the same as most rubber compensators, which ease their planning and replacement.

  • Smaller installation inaccuracies and misalignments between pipelines and pumps and other equipment are equalised.
  • In doing so a significant reduction in forces and torques on pumps and other equipment in the pipeline is achieved.
  • Reduction of oscillations (sound and vibration) into the pipeline from pumps and other equipment is achieved.
  • The multilayer construction ensures a soft flexible bellow.
  • The built-in length is a standard 130 mm no matter the type, diameter and design pressure.
  • Design pressure: 16 bar in standard finish.
